With nearly 1,700,000 visitors a year, Gröna Lund is one of Sweden’s most visited attractions. The park, beautifully located by the sea, has 31 rides. 7 of them are roller coasters which makes Gröna Lund the park with the most roller coasters per square meter in the world. In addition, Gröna Lund offers more than 70 concerts per season and is home to one of Sweden’s most famous stages, where artists like Bob Marley, Kiss and Elton John has performed.
Nestled in the beautiful countryside south of Stockholm, covering 1.5 square kilometres (370 acres), Kolmården Wildlife Park is one of the most popular family destinations in the Nordic countries. The park is home to 600 animals from all over the World. The Dolphin Show “Life”, the Safari gondola where you quietly glide close above lions and giraffes and Wildfire – the greatest wooden roller coaster in the world is some of the major attractions.
Skara Sommarland is Scandinavia’s largest water park with 12 exciting water rides, such as Big Drop, a free-fall drop ride and the giant swirl Vortex. The park also offers tivoli attractions and gokart tracks, all in all 45 attractions, 4 restaurants and a variety of lotteries, games, kiosks and cafés. Part of the experience is the popular camping ground with its own entrance to the park.
Furuvik is a theme park with a zoo, amusement park, adventure pool and concert venue situated outside of Gävle, Sweden. Furuvik opened in 1900. Since 2008 the only primate research station in the Nordic countries can be found in Furuvik.
Aquaria Water Museum is a rain forest, a coral reef, a mangrove swamp and a piece of the Baltic Sea in the middle of Stockholm. Apart from a magical below-the-surface experience, guests may learn more about water and how it is essential for all living creatures.
